growing the fun stuff.

floating in pretty graphic by me. framed for our entryway.
This weekend my friend and client Susan from Lily gave me this frame. Lucky me!!! I immediately knew that this new graphic needed to be in it and it had to be in our entryway. I love how it turned out.
Seems so perfect to greet us when we come home.

Simple little touches that make days shine. Yep.

Tomorrow starts a new week. Mine is loaded with fun creative and new adventures. Abundance is surrounding my soul and I am most grateful.

Do one thing that makes you skip today!!!

listening to my inner voice. my soul.

new quote and design by me ~ beautiful chair photo by me taken at flea market in Paris
2012 holds so much in store for me. I am making it happen. I am fueled with new energy and a great perspective I have longed for. I have always found beauty in unusual places and things. I finally get that this is special and I am listening.

I think as children we are taught things that we carry with us and we form from. I really like the imperfectness in life and in all things around me. I like the slightly off, tattered, not quite done. I feel connected to things and places that feel like this.

There is such a disconnect for me to try and to be just so. I finally feel like I do not have to be this way. Free from judgement (at least trying to not let those matter as much) Free to create and really dive into new creative passions.

My soul feels awake. I am so grateful for this. How many people never get to this happy soulful skipping along kind of awake? I continue to march on with my direct path to making myself known this year.

Thanks for coming along on this journey with me.

my nest.

sunshine was beautiful today in the entryway. i just loved it.
This weekend was a rather reflective one for me. Lot of decisions made, lots of designs created, listened to fun live music, had a lovely dinner out with hubby, saw pretty dresses on the Oscars. I have always known how important my environment is to me. I am always moving things around, painting, covering, changing our home to feel more like me (any given moment) things can get moving.

I have been adding lots of ocean items around me as I long to live by the water. I grew up in a tiny little sweet river town. Grew up on the Mississippi river and adore water.

So my dream is to live by the ocean or the sea. Big plans to move and re create a new nest.

So this week starts a bunch of moving, changing and creating for our nest. We will be selling this lovely nest I have lived in for seventeen years come Spring. There I put it in writing (always seems more real)

Here is to dreams coming true and working very hard with passion to make them happen.

red touches. yes please.

beautiful red.

why not add a few items of red to one room. just for this month. yes.

wear a bit of color in your daily dose of black.

collect shiny red hearts and nest them all together.

random red goodies to make you smile.
Mondays are fun days to grab a little lift of spirits. So why not today grab yourself a bit of RED. Just a hint (we are going into Feb. the heart month) so a splash of red something cheery and bright might just be what you need for that extra smile.

I like to switch stuff up and add unexpected colors in rooms and on me. Makes the entire day a little more interesting. Maybe, for one month just collect a few items of like color and see how your world starts opening up. You will start seeing things differently. Promise. Oh, and the hunt will be a ball.

For me it is red. Have fun! Who knows what Tuesday can bring.

Sunday's List wow!!!

me in front of our 730 thursday shrine

shrine I made collage box found objects sacred stuff
Sunday is a day to pad around get things done or not. Well for me this Sunday I have a list two miles long of things I would like to get finished.

I am going to write my list just so I can look tomorrow and see what did actually happen. Ha!

• Take pictures of my Valentine goodies and Post on my Etsy site
• Organize my studio a little bit (messy always)
• Make some pillows with the fabric that is giggling at me when I walk past (sew me)
• Start making window seat cushion for Miss Pearl to sit on and watch the world spin by
• Create for my online class Hello Soul. Hello Business
• Create more artwork just for me

The list could keep going but, I am stopping as I realize it is too long already.

Oh, and one of my collage pieces that is finished. Nice to have proof that I do get things done. He!!

Thanks for visiting on Sunday. I hope your day is filled with no lists.
